DESIGN GOAL: Hamilton’s website needed to showcase their expertise in the sheetmetal industry and highlight the importance they place on their relationship with clients.
Logo
This Rockwell font is a bold, sturdy typeface introduced in the 1890s for wood carving, and made popular again in the 1930s by American and European metal workers.
Images
HMI didn’t have current photos of their technology or team, so I popped by their Pasadena factory to take a few shots. While I’m not a professional photographer by any means, today’s smartphones are pretty amazing.
TIP: If you plan on doing your own photography, be sure to set your phone or camera to a high resolution (at least 2048 by 1232 pixels), remove any background clutter that doesn’t add to the shot, use as much natural sunlight as possible, and shoot with the light shining from behind you. It’s ok if the images don’t come out perfectly… that’s what PhotoShop is for.
